Sreemangal in Moulvibazar, known as the ‘Capital of Tea’, has been transformed for the Eid al-Azha holiday. Sreemangal, full of natural beauty, is now one of the most popular tourist destinations in Bangladesh. Surrounded by green tea gardens, hilly paths, haors, forests, and rare species of wildlife, this region has become an ideal place to visit during the long Eid holiday.

With government holidays from June 5 to 14 and educational institutions closed until June 19, the pressure from tourists is very high. Tourist places in Srimangal include Bangladesh Wildlife Service Foundation, Hail Haor, Baikka Bill, Seven-Color Tea Cabin, Tea-Girl Sculpture, Badhyabhoomi’71 Park, Lal Pahar, Shankar Tila, Gorom Tila, British Cemetery, Denston War Cemetery, Harinchara Golf Ground, and the village of ethnographic communities. In addition, the beauty of Lawachara National Park, Madhabpur Lake, and Nurjahan Tea Garden fascinates tourists.

Tourist Police Inspector Kamrul Hossain of Srimangal Zone said that the Tourist Police, local police station, and RAB members will work together to ensure the smooth movement of tourists during the Eid holidays. Their main goal is to ensure the safety of tourists.

All in all, Srimangal is now one of the most popular places to visit during Eid for its lush green nature, mountain breeze, and unique experiences. The influx of tourists has once again made this tea kingdom festive.
