Richard Hammond and his wife Mindy have announced the end of their 28-year marriage.

Former Top Gear and Grand Tour presenter Richard Hammond and his wife Mindy have announced in a joint statement that their marriage has ended. They were married in 2002 and spent an incredible 28 years together. Hammond and Mindy are the proud parents of two daughters and have vowed to keep their relationship amicable for the future.

Richard Hammond has worked with Jeremy Clarkson and James May on Top Gear for most of his career. They have tested their limits with cars and various challenges. In 2006, Hammond was in a coma for two weeks after a 320mph jet-powered car crash. Mindy inspired him to get back to life after the accident.

Hammond said in an interview that his thoughts and dreams at the time of the accident gave him peace. The experience gave him a new perspective on life and a deep connection to his favourite places. He made a full recovery and returned to the show.

After successfully hosting 22 seasons of Top Gear, they left the show in 2015 after their contract was not renewed by the BBC. They later launched The Grand Tour on Amazon Prime. The show was cancelled after five seasons.

In 2017, Hammond was involved in another Grand Tour accident, in which his car caught fire. The accident left his wife Mindy emotionally devastated. However, Hammond recovered and returned to the show.

Hammond has not limited himself to Top Gear or The Grand Tour. He has presented a number of shows, including Total Wipeout and Brainiac: Science Abuse. More recently, he has hosted a show called Richard Hammond’s Workshop, based on restoring vintage cars.

Mindy is best known for a robbery in 2018, when he was robbed while on holiday in France. He alleged that he was gassed and that the robbers stole cash and valuables.

Last year, Hammond launched a podcast with his daughter, which was seen as an attempt to overcome his midlife crisis. Through the podcast, he talks about his life changes and current situation.
