Two national team cricketers, Liton Das and Rishad Hossain, have migrated from Bangladesh to play in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025. Both of them confirmed the matter on their Facebook profiles. They have received a no-objection certificate from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to play in the entire tournament. As a result, these two star cricketers will be able to play the entire season this time.
The Karachi Kings team has taken Liton Das from the Silver category. Liton has already proven his skills in T20s. Analysts believe that his batting style, strike rate, and experience will add additional strength to the Karachi Kings’ top order. On the other hand, Rishad Hossain will play for Lahore Qalandars. This young leg spinner has already proven himself on the international stage. His spin and variation can add a new dimension to Lahore’s bowling unit.
However, not only Liton and Rishad, another young Bangladeshi pacer has got a chance in this year’s PSL. He is Nahid Rana. However, he will not be able to play for his team at the start of the PSL as he is confirmed to be in the upcoming Test series against Zimbabwe. Nahid will go to Pakistan after the first Test of the series is over. This will be his first international franchise league experience. This is a big opportunity for the young right-arm pacer.

PSL 2025 will start on April 11. Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars will face each other in the opening match. This time, a total of 34 matches will be played with the participation of 6 teams. The matches will be held at four venues: Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Rawalpindi. The final match of the tournament will be held in Lahore on May 18.
The organizers have said that this year will be the last 6-team edition of the PSL. Two new teams will be added from the next season, making it a full-fledged franchise league of 8 teams. This will make the competition more intense, and many international cricketers will get the opportunity to participate.
The participation of Bangladeshi cricketers is not only positive for them but also for the country’s cricket. Coaches and analysts believe that the experience of playing in international franchise leagues will also have an impact on the national team’s performance in the future.
