Indian women's cricket Rumeli Dhar: retires from international cricket

Indian women's cricketer Rumeli Dhar has retired from international cricket.

Rumeli, a pace bowling all-rounder, is retiring at the age of 38

Thar last played in the 2018 tri-nation cricket tournament between Australia and England.

His 23-year cricket career is coming to an end.

Stepping out of all formats of cricket. It was a journey of ups and downs.

He represented India, played in the 2005 World Cup and captained the Indian team.

Injuries haunted his career.

But Rumeli says in his retirement note that he has always come back strong

Rumeli thanked his family, BCCI, friends and team. 

Rumeli added that what each match has taught him will be strong in the second half of his life.

He has played four Tests, 78 ODIs and 18 T20Is for India.

He scored 1328 runs and took 84 wickets in all formats.
