‘Sikandar’ Flopped At The Box Office? You’ll Be Surprised To Know The Four-day Earnings Of Salman Khan’s Film

Salman Khan’s new movie, Sikandar, was released during Eid. There was a lot of interest in the movie among the audience because Bhaijaan’s movie means entertainment and big expectations. ‘Sikandar’ is directed by the popular director of the South industry, AR Murugadoss. Although the movie is full of action, romance, drama, and emotion, many questions have now been raised about its success at the box office.

The movie was released just before Eid, that is, on Sunday. Salman Khan was accompanied by Rashmika Mandanna, and the role of the villain was played by the favorite of all South Sathyaraj. The budget of this big-budget movie made by these three stars was about 200 crores. But the income from the first day of release was not as expected. On the first day, the movie earned only 26 crores, which is very low for a movie of this budget.

Although the movie’s income was likely to increase during the Eid holidays, the movie was able to earn 29 crores on the second day. On the third day, that is, Tuesday, the movie’s income decreased further; on that day, the movie earned 19.50 crores. But on the fourth day, the situation got worse. ‘Sikandar earned only Rs 9.75 crore on Wednesday. The total income over four days stands at Rs 84.25 crore, which is much less than the film’s budget.

Seeing this performance, many people think that the film is heading towards a flop. Although producer Sajid Nadiadwala is running various campaigns to make the film a hit, the audience’s response is not very positive. Even some ‘shows’ had to be canceled in cinema halls due to a lack of audience.

Salman Khan’s previous film, Tiger 3, earned Rs 148.50 crore in its first weekend. In comparison, ‘Sikandar’s income is much less. Even before that, the film named ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ earned only Rs 68.17 crore on its first weekend. The first day’s income of that film was Rs 15.81 crore.

Many people think that the previous stardom of Khan in Bollywood is no longer the same. One film after another is not able to do business as expected. Changing audience mindset, lack of content, emergence of new competitors—these are the reasons for this situation. ‘Sikander’ is not able to stand up to the expectations it was released with, even with good casting, big budget, and a good director, that is the reality now.

All in all, it can be said that ‘Sikander’ is not able to reach the place with which it was released. Although there are still a few more days ahead, many are skeptical about the future of the film after seeing the earnings of the first four days. Salman Khan’s fans may still be hoping that the film will turn around, but the box office figures are not very promising.
