Samsung One UI 8 Coming To Fold 7 And Flip 7, Will Have Android 16

Samsung users were extremely disappointed with the new Android update, One UI 7. Because even six months after the Android 15 finalization, the stable update rollout has not started. Finally, after a long wait, the One UI 7 update is going to reach some devices next week. Although the Galaxy S25 series was launched in the market with One UI 7 in January, no other Samsung device has received this update yet. However, this time, new news has come about One UI 8, which users are very optimistic about.

According to the report, Samsung is bringing One UI 8 at a very fast pace this time. This update, based on Android 16, will first be available on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. That is, these two new foldable phones will come to the market with One UI 8. As a result, this update will be the first time on a Samsung phone with Android 16, which was usually seen on Pixel phones earlier.

Samsung is going directly to the One UI 8.0 version instead of going through the X.1 or X.1.1 steps like last time, multiple reports have said. According to SamMobile and other sources, Samsung has already started testing One UI 8 internally. Although there is no definite information about when One UI 8 will arrive for the Galaxy S25 series or other older devices so far. However, since the software is being prepared much earlier this time, it is likely that the update will arrive for other devices relatively soon.

If everything goes according to plan, then Samsung can bring the Fold 7 and Flip 7 in July, which will have One UI 8 from the start. Last year, the Fold 6 and Flip 6 were released on July 10 and came to the market on July 24. So this time, too, the new phone may debut around the same time.

On the other hand, Google has also started the Android 16 release process much earlier. The final version of Android 16 is likely to arrive by July or June. As a result, Samsung may be the first smartphone brand to come to the market with Android 16 this year. The last beta version (Beta 4) is said to come in April. If all goes well, Samsung is going to bring a big positive change in terms of software updates this year.
