Virginie Grimaldi is a popular French writer who appeared as a guest on the famous French TV show “20h30 le dimanche” on May 7, 2025, to celebrate the release of her new book “Les heures fragiles”. As popular as her writing career is, her personal life is also very beautiful and stable. She has been in a relationship with a gentleman named Arnold for twenty years, whom she affectionately calls her “partner in crime”.
Virginie and Arnold have spent a lot of time together. They got married in 2009 and renewed their wedding vows in 2023 on their 14th wedding anniversary. Virginie shared many photos of that special day on Instagram. In the caption, she wrote, “We enjoyed our first day so much that we jokingly said we would do it again in ten years. Even if it took 14 years, we kept our promise.”
Their love story began in the early 2000s, when they first saw each other in the city of Toulouse. Virginie was in her apprenticeship at the time, and Arnold worked in the building. At first glance, Arnold’s clothes did not attract her, but Virginie was impressed by his gentle manner and smiling face. Gradually, their friendship deepened and they fell in love.
They have gone through many happy times in their lives, as well as difficult times together. In 2010, they lost their first child at eight months of pregnancy. This incident left them very broken. Later, in 2012, their first son was born, and in 2019, their second son was born prematurely. That time was also very difficult, because there were many uncertainties about the child’s life. But the couple faced everything bravely by standing by each other.
Virginia’s life experiences also come to the fore in her writings. “Plus grand que le ciel”, “Tu comprendras quand tu seras plus grande” and “Le premier jour du reste de ma vie” – in these books too, she has told stories of relationships, hardships, love and life struggles. With the publication of her new book “Les heures fragiles”, she is once again winning a place in the hearts of readers.
