August 2025 brings great news for Bangladeshi cricket fans. The powerful Indian team is coming to Bangladesh to play three ODIs and three T20Is this month. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has recently released the full schedule of this much-awaited bilateral series.
The Indian team will set foot in Dhaka on August 13, and all the matches will be played in two cities throughout the tour—Dhaka and Chittagong. The first part of the tour will consist of an ODI series. The first two ODIs will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on August 17 and 20. Then the last ODI of the series will be held on August 23 at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Rahul Amin Stadium in Chittagong, which was earlier known as the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
After the ODI series, the T20I series will start in Chittagong from August 26. This is the first time that India will play a full bilateral series in Bangladesh in this format. The Indian team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, will play three T20 matches, the first of which will be in Chittagong, and the last two matches will be in Mirpur on August 29 and 31, respectively.
This series is being held as part of the ICC’s Forward Playing Plan (FTP). The Indian team has toured Bangladesh regularly before, but this is the first time they will play a full T20 series in Bangladesh.
It is worth noting that India last visited Bangladesh in 2022 to play three ODIs and two Test matches. The Test series on that tour was part of the ICC World Test Championship. However, this is the first time that a T20 series will be held, which will be an added attraction for Bangladeshi viewers.
