This much-awaited follow-up to Subnautica and Below Zero will launch in early access in early 2025 through the Xbox Game Preview program and be available on Game Pass from day one!
The big reveal? Players can now dive into the depths in cooperative multiplayer mode with up to four friends.
Subnautica 2 takes players beyond Planet 4546B to explore vibrant, mysterious new landscapes teeming with unique creatures and hidden secrets.
Unknown Worlds promises upgraded tools, vehicles, and base-building options, plus a fresh array of creatures never seen before.
While the game remains single-player-focused, it will feature co-op play for friends to explore together, without the typical live-service structure.
The game is also switching from the Unity engine to Unreal Engine 5, hinting at even more stunning visuals. Dive back in next year!
